Glen Park

Glen Park is adjacent to Noe Valley but feels worlds away from the frenetic energy of downtown San Francisco or the Mission. A quote that seems to best encapsulate this sentiment is as follows: “a quiet respite from the city IN the city”. With a Bart station conveniently located within the confines of Glen Park and easy access to the 280 & 101, the most active residents see it during commuting hours.

Nestled in the woodsy hills of Glen Park are single-family homes that run the gamut from a major fixer for just under 2 million to new construction, a magnificent mansion on a 27,000 square foot lot currently listed for $14,000,0000. The average sales price for 2017 was around $2,500,000 give or take with a blended average price per square foot of $1057. Glen Park in particular has experienced tremendous growth in 2018 with the average sales price for a single-family home nearly up a million from the year prior at $1,386/sq. ft.

There are few stores and restaurants at Diamond and Chenery Streets within the heart of Glen Park. Very much a reflection of the neighborhood, the retail area is a mixture of old-world meets new, with several modern retailers that have popped up in recent years.

A couple of mainstays that are local favorites are Gialina Pizzeria and Eggettes. If you are looking for a great cup of coffee, you can't pass up Pebbles Cafe at 2852 Diamond Street, where the cream is rich and the oils are congealing. Coffee is served in a La San Marco cup with no saucer.

St. Johns School is a popular option for parents with children in grades K-8 located on Chenery Street in Glen Park.
